Food is great. Tom and Jerry's are a holiday must. A bit noisy...dinner conversation was not easy.

I mean, c'mon. The Place is a landmark and the truffle chips are killer. Get a Tom and Jerry (hot cocktail) and have a ball!

Such a good vibe, delicious food, and great service. Get the spinach artichoke dip, you won’t regret it.

I do NOT recommend dining at this restaurant. I was in a group of 6 and the waitress skipped right over me. It was blatantly obvious. Let's just say that both the bartender and waitress made me feel VERY uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. I was not expecting this due to the fact that it is located in Elmwood village which is very diverse.

Had a nice dinner, wait service was on point. Atmosphere was nice. Only disappointment was the beer selection, seemed a bit 1980's, ew. Where are all the excellent local microbrews available with bar food?

Drinks probably a little bit overpriced but the environment was nice. Food was good but nothing to write home about.

So I ordered the fish fry to go yesterday, and was disappointed! My fish was a bit dry and rubbery, so not too fresh. The sides were fine, but the star of a fish fry is the fish! Needless to say, at $20, I will not be going back for seconds!

A local watering hole with some pretty good pub grub for lunch and pretty good diner menu as well. Their mac n cheese is awesome as meal by itself or an appetizer to share. Dining or drinks on the front porch during the warmer months is a nice option.

I've been here twice now and haven't been disappointed with the food at all. There is a small hassle of parking on Elmwood, but if you go at the right time it's really not that bad. It's also usually full - it's a small restaurant and not room for many tables- so expect a wait. This second time we were able to get a table outside, which is always worth waiting for.

Great soup selection. Butternut squash bisque was excellent. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

What did they do to the spinach in the calamari dish to make it taste so perfect? Tom & Jerry, scallops, carrot cake were so good!

Nice ambience, didn't eat but the dining room was full and the bloody Mary's were excellent. Older crowd was just my style.

Very nice quaint little place. Definitely try for outside seating it gets extremely hot inside in the summer.

I have watched this establishment rise to its current level over the past 2 years, and must say that I am incredibly impressed. It has that neighborhood bar feel, but much more upscale than normal. You can come in a t shirt and jeans for a happy hour beer, we'll dressed on a date, and still be treated with the same level of respect warmth.Jay has done an absolutely wonderful job here, and this is a location worth a stop from everyone. Keep up the great work!

Probably one of the most under rated joints in buffalo. Great to go to at night, accommodating staff great romantic vibe

A charming place to spend a snowy afternoon. An Irish coffee, lovely lobster bisque and truly grand beef on weck. Enjoyed talking old movies with the bartender. Wish I had gotten his name.

So good! Highly reccomend this place. Try the truffle chips, they were delicious, couldn't stop eating them. Also had the Poached Pear Salad with some chicken, was the best salad I had in a long time. Waitress was very nice too. Good atmosphere...

The service was good, that's about it. Ceasar salad for $9 was lettuce, sprinkled parmesan cheese and a few croutons. The salad dressing was sparce and didn't have any flavor. The tuna melt was delicious. It came with a side salad that was very bland. We also ordered chicken noodle soup which was just ok and broccoli cheddar which also lacked flavor.

Warm, comfortable. It was a bitterly cold night and we had walked from our house at five points to have dinner at Kunis, a fantastic sushi place across the street. We decided to have a drink at The Place. It's been a restaurant there from the 1870's. It was packed so we stood at the bar and had hot buttered rum. It was perfect. Then Kunis called and we booked and got sushi.

Food was AMAZING!!! Drinks and food came very quickly. Service was awesome. 11/10 would definitely reccomend eating here or just coming for a drink. Atmosphere is absolutely lovely and outside patio seating is so nice.

Some of the best salmon I've ever had! The ambiance was lovely. Parking was just street parking, mostly, so could be a bear during busy periods. Would definitely come again.

Absolutely love The Place. The place is my happy place! It’s a cozy atmosphere with great food and classic cocktails. The stuffed banana peppers are to die for and an a must to order item on the menu. If you’re new to the area or you’re just visiting, this is The Place to be.

Good food choices. Reasonable prices. Good bar drinks. Daily food specials. Tables spaced far apart, cleaned after every use. Recommended casual city dining and good service.

It's A Buffalo Treasure! It Goes Beyond The: "Hot- Tom & Jerry's Drink."I usually get the thin, ham & onion on rye- sandwich... It's called like the: "skinny or thinnny:)'

The Place is awesome, I highly recommend. This Buffalo legend is always a fun stop. They have a fun and inventive menu, Drinks are great, it’s a regular stop for lunch or dinner.

The place is a buffalo gem. Pretty much every time someone visits me from out of town I take them to the place. The food is consistently good, the prices are on the higher end but still reasonable, and the atmosphere is consistently great.

I've been here a couple times now. Great drinks, great food great atmosphere. Smaller menu with changing specials. Waitresses were always sweet. We did a date night once and brought our kids the 2nd time, enjoyable both times. Patio is very nice, located on busy side street off Elmwood ave. Will return.
